Hamilton Sport was created by triathlon athlete and physiologist Ross Hamilton to help professionals and amateurs achieve their fitness or sporting goals.
We provide professional coaching and quality training support to all individuals of any level. We specialize in custom training plans and one to one support.

How does the consultation process work?
- Step one: Contact us to arrange your consultation.
- Step two: Complete a consultation Skype call which may last between 40-90mins.
- Step three: If you wish to avail of coaching, we will send you an induction form to get started with plans.
Throughout the process of working with us we will pinpoint areas to focus on in order to maximize your likelihood of success. Together we will work towards realistic goals and timelines. If you have been struggling to reach a goal, we will take time to troubleshoot the process and come up with a solution.
For many high-level athletes or athletes who may already employ a coach, our consultation session may be used as a once off service. This is particularly useful for athletes who need to seek advice for a special circumstance such as a race in heat or at altitude. In these situations we offer advice to complement your current training plan. These consultations can include your current coach if you wish.
We are set up to cater for athletes of all levels, from beginner right up to professional level. You should not feel like you need to be at a certain standard or have extremely competitive goals to avail of our service. While many of our athletes are professional we often have the biggest impact on beginners where we can instill good training practice and habits from the start. We also help form realistic targets and goals for fitness enthusiasts who wish to progress their ambitions or have health concerns. Many of our clients do not compete but have goals relating to health, injuries, or a lifelong challenge they want to complete.
Hamilton Sport helped me to achieve my goal of getting on the podium at the National Aquabike Championships at Lough Cutra this year. I needed to make some solid gains on the bike and Ross guided me towards this. It’s important to me to have a coach that I trust and Ross’ experience and educational background meant that I knew I was in safe hands. He was patient but pushed me when I needed to be. He’s a source of endless knowledge when it comes to athletic performance and I recommend his coaching to anyone looking to improve or achieve a goal. I made a big improvement on my times on the same course a year earlier and I know that’s down to Ross’ expertise and passion for sport and coaching.

Ross is a fantastic coach, he uses his science and high performace background to great effect. He was always available to answer my questions/concerns and send on relevant podcasts etc for my own knowledge to help my understanding. Ross ensured that training fitted into my life, I start work at 8am and I'm on my feet all day usually getting 10,000+ steps in work. With a little trial and error we worked out how to get the most out of my training so that I had enough energy for all training sessions and for work.
